What services do you offer?We provide trusted pet care services across Calgary. We provide Overnight House Sitting city-wide across all Calgary communities. Private Dog Walking, Group Pack Walks, Pet Visits (drop-in care) currently in the following locations: Cranston, Seton, Mahogany, Auburn Bay, McKenzie Towne, McKenzie Lake, Copperfield, New Brighton, Legacy, Lake Bonavista, Willow Park, Walden, Chaparral, Douglasdale/Glen, and Quarry Park. We also offer Custom Care services — designed around your pet’s unique needs.

Are you insured and bonded?Yes. Nest & Nomad Pet Care is fully insured and bonded through Binks Insurance Brokers, a top-rated Canadian provider specializing in pet business coverage. Your pets and property are protected with us.

Do I need to schedule a Meet & Greet first?Every new booking includes a complimentary 15-minute Meet & Greet, which helps us understand your pet’s needs, routines, and environment. For Overnight House Sitting, we recommend scheduling your Meet & Greet at least 3–5 days before your tripfor a relaxed and personalized handoff.

Can I cancel or reschedule a service?Yes. Cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance are eligible for credit. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable, as that time has been reserved just for you.

Do you offer packages or discounts?Yes! We offer package bundles for Private Dog Walks, Group Pack Walks, and Pet Visits. These discounted bundles offer flexibility and savings. Packages are valid for 3 months from purchase and are non-refundable, non-transferable.

How does payment work?Payment is processed at the time of booking using a secure checkout. For House Sitting, a deposit equal to one night is required upfront to reserve your stay. The remaining balance is due before or at the start of service.

How do I book a service?You can book directly through our website 24/7. All bookings, packages, and payments are handled securely online via credit or debit card.

How do you access my home?We request secure access via keyless entry or a lockbox. If you live in a building without those options, three copies of your key must be provided. We also sell lockboxes for $30 if needed.

Do you walk dogs in all weather?Yes! We walk rain, snow, or shine. For extreme conditions (storms, hail, heat waves), we may adjust the service for safety, including indoor playtime or shortened walks.

What if my dog is reactive or has special needs?We understand that every pet is different. During the Meet & Greet, we’ll assess any behavior or medical needs. We take a gentle, professional approach and may recommend a local trainer or vet if additional care is required.

Are vaccination records required?Yes. All pets must have up-to-date core vaccinations. This is part of our safety-first approach and is required before your first service.

How long are the Group Pack Walks?Our Group Pack Walks include 1 hour of active dog park walking or play, plus up to 1–2 hours total time for pick-up and drop-off. Your dog’s safety and enjoyment are our top priorities. No more than 4 dogs per group.

What happens during a Pet Visit?Pet Visits are 30-minute drop-ins that include feeding, potty breaks, medication (if needed), playtime, and updates sent right to your phone — great for cats, small animals, or midday check-ins.

What is included in Overnight House Sitting?We care for your pets and your home from 7 PM to 7 AM. This includes feeding, walks, litter or aquarium care, home security, and lots of snuggles. Extra daytime visits can be added if needed.

Will the same person walk or visit my pet every time?Yes — since we are a boutique operation, you’ll work directly with the owner or a dedicated caregiver. Your pet will get familiar, consistent care from someone who truly knows them.
